About PDR Ohio

Professional Diving Resources ("PDR Ohio," "we," "us," or "our") is a scuba diving instruction, excursion, and equipment service company located at 7976 Broadview Rd #105, Broadview Heights, OH 44147. We have been in operation since 1993 and offer scuba certifications, diving excursions, commercial and recreational equipment repair, and dive equipment retail. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website at pdrohio.com and all services we provide.

Use of Our Website

By accessing pdrohio.com, you agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not use the site to transmit unlawful or fraudulent content, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, copy or redistribute content without our written permission, or use automated tools to scrape data from the site. We reserve the right to suspend access for any user who violates these terms.

Classes & Certifications

PDR Ohio offers scuba diving certification courses at various skill levels. By enrolling in any course, you agree to the following:

  • Health requirements: Scuba diving is a physically demanding activity. You are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions that may affect your ability to safely participate. PDR Ohio reserves the right to decline enrollment to anyone whose health status presents a safety concern.

  • Age requirements: Minimum age requirements vary by course type and certification agency. Please confirm eligibility before enrolling a minor.

  • Waivers: All participants must sign a liability release and medical statement before participating in any in-water activity. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign on their behalf.

  • Certification standards: Certifications are issued by the applicable certification agency. PDR Ohio's role is as the training facility and instructor provider; certification is subject to successful completion of all required standards.

  • Conduct: Participants are expected to follow all instructor directions. PDR Ohio reserves the right to remove any participant from a course for unsafe or disruptive behavior.

Diving Trips & Excursions

PDR Ohio organizes group diving trips to domestic and international destinations. By booking a trip, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Fitness to dive: You confirm that you are a certified diver and in good physical health. It is your responsibility to maintain your dive certification and skills.

  • Third-party providers: Trips may involve third-party airlines, hotels, dive operators, and other vendors. PDR Ohio acts as an organizer and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

  • Travel insurance: We strongly recommend that all trip participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and dive-related incidents. PDR Ohio does not provide travel insurance.

  • Itinerary changes: Trip itineraries are subject to change due to weather, safety conditions, or circumstances beyond our control. PDR Ohio is not liable for costs or losses arising from necessary itinerary changes.

  • Conduct: Participants are expected to follow all dive briefings and safety instructions. Unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the trip.

Equipment Sales & Repair

PDR Ohio sells and services recreational and commercial diving equipment as an authorized dealer for multiple brands.

  • Equipment sales: All sales are subject to availability. Manufacturer warranties apply where offered.

  • Repair services: Equipment repair is performed by trained technicians. PDR Ohio is not liable for pre-existing damage, manufacturer defects, or equipment failures that occur after servicing due to improper use or storage by the customer.

  • Customer-owned equipment: You are responsible for ensuring that any equipment you bring in for service is yours to authorize for repair.

Payments & Cancellations

Payment is required at the time of booking for all classes and trips. Equipment purchases are due at the time of sale or pickup. Specific cancellation and refund policies will be communicated at the time of booking. PDR Ohio reserves the right to cancel any class or trip due to insufficient enrollment, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund or credit.

Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Scuba diving and related water activities involve inherent risks, including serious injury or death. By participating in any activity offered by PDR Ohio, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with such activities. All participants are required to sign a separate liability release and assumption of risk waiver prior to participation in any in-water activity. PDR Ohio is not liable for any injury, illness, death, property damage, or loss arising from participation in our programs, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PDR Ohio's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. PDR Ohio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website.

Intellectual Property

All content on pdrohio.com — including text, images, logos, and course materials — is the property of Professional Diving Resources or its licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute any content from this site without prior written permission from PDR Ohio.

Governing Law
